Filmora's license prohibits adult content by name: editing porn with it is a EULA violation on day one. This is not an inference. Wondershare's EULA bars using the software "in conjunction with content that is illegal, obscene, indecent," its AI terms prohibit "Adult content, adult industries, and dating apps, including but not limited to content meant to arouse sexual excitement, erotic chat, pornography," and the Filmora-specific terms add that content you "produce, edit, export or publish" must not contain pornography. That last clause covers the desktop app itself, not just the cloud features.
The workflow is also account-tethered. Activation cannot happen offline, and a paid install works offline for at most 30 days before it must re-authenticate against your Wondershare account. The AI features are cloud-backed and credit-metered, meaning server-side processing of whatever you feed them, under the terms above, tied to an identifiable account Wondershare may terminate for material breach.
Why it shows up in searches anyway. It is cheap ($49.99 to $59.99 a year, $79.99 perpetual, watermarked free tier), heavily marketed, and runs on modest hardware (16GB RAM recommended for 4K). None of that changes the license.
Bottom line. Do not build an adult workflow on Filmora. Kdenlive and Shotcut are free with no content restrictions at all, and DaVinci Resolve outclasses it at $0. See the editing software guide.
