How to Find Porn Performers: Agencies, Sites and Casting

There are different ways to find adult performers. Craigslist closed its adult sections years ago (adult services in 2010, personals in 2018), so it is no longer an option.

Who you need to find depends on who is in the scene:

• Only you or your partner: you don't need to cast anyone.
• You plus amateurs: you are the talent scout.
• You plus a professional performer: use a licensed agency or a scout.
• Other performers only: use agencies and scouts.

If you are looking for adult actors, here are some places you might find talent:

JuicyStarz is a casting site where you can post a casting call. OnlyFans creators often shoot with collaborators. Anyone you cast from there still needs ID checked, a signed release and your 2257 records. Adult talent agencies are third-party companies that manage talent. You can hire adult actors through these agencies. Ask any agency for its state license number, and check it before you book. Scouts are individuals who offer the service of connecting performers with jobs. You can find local talent scouts at adult agencies in your area.

Third-Party Porn Casting

If you need help finding adult actors for your porn production, third-party agencies offer a variety of options for hiring adult performers. Adult performer agencies serve as a liaison between adult actors and clients who hire them. You can pay the agency an agreed-upon fee for talent, hiring one adult actor or several, depending on how many you need for your porn production. Be clear with the agency on the acts you need to be performed and the age and look of the talent that you want. In California, check any agency on the Labor Commissioner's public list of licensed talent agencies before you book.

When you work with an agency or scout, here are some things to look for:

• Licensed. Ask for the license number and check it with the state.
• Transparent pricing. Don’t work with agencies or scouts who don’t give you a direct answer on fees, and get everything in writing regarding costs and fees.
• Good reviews. Seek referrals and recommendations for adult agencies and scouts. Check out review sites to see what people have to say about working with different agencies, and don’t work with any that have excessively poor reviews.

Where to Actually Look

The best talent sources depend on your market and budget. In major production cities like LA, Miami, and Las Vegas, talent agencies are the most reliable route, they vet performers, handle scheduling, and verify testing status. For independent producers outside those markets, industry casting boards and producer forums are where performers post availability. Social media (Twitter/X especially) is where a lot of the adult industry communicates, performers post availability, producers post casting calls, and you can get a sense of someone's professionalism before you ever reach out.

Whatever channel you use, always verify testing, check references with other producers, get proper consent documentation signed, and know who you're looking for before you start searching. The worst casting decisions come from rushing to fill a slot without doing due diligence.

Casting is one piece of the wider production-to-launch pipeline. For the full sequence, legal compliance, production, editing, hosting, payments, and marketing, see the complete step-by-step guide on how to make a porn site.

Performers vet producers as hard as producers vet performers, and an empty or broken website ends the conversation early. If your site isn't live yet, the fastest credible options are in our adult website builders comparison.
